Your MAP sensor is receiving a High Input. possible causes are as follows: this means that the circuit is open or shorted to the VREF, the grounding circuit is open between the sensor and the PCM, the sensor is damaged, PCM has failed. possible causes for the sensor to fail, extended engine cranking or a backfire. I have 2008 chevy malibu lt and I barely drive itt, well the othe day the check engine light came one I cecked oil ot good, checked gas cap it appears good
What you need to do is pull the error code from the computer. This takes a scanner tool, but some parts stores and lube shops may pull the codes for you. You must have the codes to know the offending system component.

you can try this, if it is the original radio. call or visit a dealer and provide proof of ownership. and they will give you code, you can also go to www.radio-codes.com but cost is about 8.00 to get code.
