sounds like the code reader/dignostic equipment that has been used may have erased some or all of powertrain control module data.this did happen to me when the ids i was using became disconnected before it had finished clearing codes. had to recover the module by reprogramming as a new module only a jag dealer wil be able to do this has the complete car config.file has to reinstalled.
Hi, Google found THIS: Turn key to position 2. press the button to show the service due light. release button. turn key off. press and hold the same button to view the service light, within 2 second turn key to position 2. wait up to 10 second and the light will reset to show new service. back it to a dealer as although iam not sure here but i think this is a similar problem to teh S type jag the computer brain is having seizures and the only solution here is a new computer
I fyou jack the car and removed the tires or if you change brake pads or adjusted the handbrake the light will turn on, try to reset it with a scanner tool or disconect the pos terminal from the bat for 10 sec and replace it. If the light comes on again take the car to a shop for dignostics on the brake system.
You will not retrieve your codes without a scanner. If you take your vehicle to your local "autozone" store, they will scan it for you for free. After a scan they will give you the codes, and tell you what they mean.
I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.
