Is there a fuse for your heating system that could go out and could make for no heat

Hi Dave,

The only fuse are for the fans for the vents. If you have no heat coming from vents when you turn the heat to max, there is a problem with the internal heat exchanger (usually located behind the glove box on most cars). Vehicles use heat from the car's cooling system, i.e. the antifreeze from the radiator- to transfer to the passenger compartment. This is why you do not get immediate heat from the vents until your engine is warm. I hope this answers your question.

I hear a bubbling noise when i turn off my pt cruiser and now it is overheating what do i do?

Probably the fuse of the thermostat or the thermostat is dead, so the fan doesn't cool the water in the radiator

Radiator fan on my 2001 pt cruiser only engages when the air conditioner is on. When the heat is on the fan doesn't work causing the car to overheat. Do I need a new fan?

probably not . There are fuses to check and a relay to check as well as the coolant temperature sensor to check . If the engine overheats when you have the heater on it suggests an air lock in the cooling system . Have the system pressure bled along with all the other checks.

2002 pt cruiser power windows wont work, air bag light on, and heater and ac fan not working

Mines a 2002 pt cruiser. no windows work. A/C and heater blower not working and airbag light on. Will not lock doors inside but will unlock them after using keyfob to lock them. One day its 100%fine next day not and has been messed up. turn heat on and can feel the heat coming out of the vents with no blower fan. No fuses or relays bad. So the ignition is all I havent changed...

AC has barely any pressure unless on high and only getting hot air.

check the cabin air filter if equipped, Make sure that the air is not coming out of the floor vents or defrost. The door that diverts the air maybe stuck, pushing air out defrost/floor vents

2002 pt cruiser overheating was told i need a new raditor and thermostat for 1 grand sounds fishy

Flush rad & change coolant & thermostat. Check operation of rad fan, & make sure it is coming on when engine reaches normal operating temperature. Be sure to bleed air out good when refilling rad/cooling system. Start engine & turn heater on when refilling & let rad fan come on & off at least 2 or 3 times before putting cap back on rad, and refill rad as needed as you do this. then fill return bottle to proper level & see what happens.
