Honda Civic: a locking/unlocking issue

I have automatic lock on my 1996 Honda Civic which is locking/unlocking only the drivers door. What could be the reason that the mechanism is not working on the other doors? Thanks.

It has indeed a central lock mechanism. It looks that is more of an electrical connection but I do not know where to start investigating the problem.

If it is a central lock mechanism then it should lock all doors. check the motor/solenoid of each door. also the electrical connections.

Most likely the latch itself has failed. Open the door panel and first check to see if unlock signal is getting to latch connector. If yes, replace latch. If no signal, the problem is more likely in the control module.

Driver side lock

the solenoid may be weak, or it can be lubed. you will need to remove the door panel and see how it works, and try to lube it, or see if there is any binding.

My 2003 Honda CRV ...drivers side door does not lock with fob. All other doors lock. When I lock the drivers side door with the key, it won't unlock with the fob.

you may need to replace the door locking actuator, they do tend to go bad over times. does the driver side door lock automatic when using the lock button on the driver side. if you can lock and unlock the driver side door with a switch, my guess would not be the locking actuator, it might be in the remote locking module.

Fob doesn't work on driver's door.

if the passenger side works with the fob and the power button and not the diver it is def the driver door lock actuator.
