Good info here http://www.fixya.com/cars/t1254761-2003_mitsubishi_eclipse_gs_blows_cold

I also had the hose inside the Overfill tank fall off inside the tank. I pulled it out and placed a hose clamp on it to prevent that from happening again

this is the result of radiator being low on coolant.

diagnose why the radiator is low and resolve your problem.

see the following for one soltion before spending any $$$$

My heater blows cold air only, its worked all this time up until now. 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse, it also leaks water under the driver seat when I use the a/c. please help

It sounds like the heater matrix leaking, usually the dashboard has to come out to get to it.keep an eye on your engine water level too as its the same water and coolent that runs the a/c.if its leaking into the car then you risk over heating the engine.

?mitsubishi Eclipse 2003 ac

If you overcharged your ac, it will not get cold. It should take about a can and 3/4 max. Do this first, it probably has too much air in it. Since you don't have a vacuum pump, let some of the gas on the low side. You will feel the air coming out is not cold, but keep releasing until the gas coming out is cold. Now you have taken most of the air out. The gauge should be no more than between the blue and the yellow. If the low side gauge remain high, then you probably have a bad expansion valve.

Replaced all air conditioner parts and still blows cool air NOT COLD. Guy that just replaced evaporator said it could be a sensor that needed to be reset by mitsubishi. Is this true????? this is a 2001...

no dealer has a reset for the a/c system by you mentioning that you replace everything it means the a/c compressor, air dryer, and the most important the orfice tube. if you hadnt replace the orfice tube wich converts the liquid into gas when it gets hot thats your problem.alot of mechanics wont change it as an a/c mechanic will.

Heater blows cold air

I had the same problem with the heater only working when accellerating. Found the overflow tank pick up tube was kinked. This of course made my coolant level low. So when the cars hot the coolant would push into the overflow, but when the car cooled the kink would prevent it from flowing back to the radiator.

Heater blows cold air

the heator core has gone out this is a divise that uses hot coolent from the engine to heat the air that blowes tru your vents it is located behind the glove box some times it's tricky to reach look under the hood to find 2 hoses running side by side in to the fire wall on the passenger side to pin point the location

Ac on 01 eclipse

Not sure about the ac/radio issue, although others have posted solutions for models later than yours. The oil leaking issue is more than likely a broken or cracked gasket where the pistons of the engine are located. May want to take it to a certified mechanic to get them replaced. Not a very expensive job on a 4-cylinder car. May also want to check the draining bolt where the oil is changed and the oil filter.
