Started my car this morning and I couldn't get the interior lights to shut off. The only way I could get them off is to pull the gauge/lighter fuse. Although, when I pulled it, the lights still came on until I either shut the door or turned off the car.
Before, the lights would not shut off, no matter what I did.
YOU COULD HAVE A FAULTY DOOR JAMB SWITCH.

Check the interior dimmer to the left of the steering wheel. If the slider is locked in place at the top, it turns on all the interior lights.

I did notice that when I opened the drivers side door, there was a piece of duct tape on the door jamb which looks like its there to help with the switch attached to the car. like the previous owner put it there so that the switch would work. Could this be part of the problem? I tried pushing it in while the car was started and all the doors were closed, but the lights stayed on.
