SOURCE: 1994 Chevrolet s-10 pickup won't start.

If the tach was dropping then the motor was dying not the accelerator. The accelerator cable is a cable so it can not have intermitent problems. There is nu under hood fuse panel or box. The only fuse box is on the drivers side od the dash and the relays are in the glove box behind an access panel and if they are not in the glove box they are hanging on the firewall or inner fender. I do not know what your problem is but i am hoping to clarify some of the previous discussion for you. Now some questions. Are the dash lights coming on when you turn on the key? What motor? If is a 4.3L is it a vortec or throttle body? Give me more info and i will see if i can help. Remember I am not with the vehicle so I do not know what it is doing so the more info the more answers.

SOURCE: '96 Chevy Tahoe won't start

i had similar problem. hard to start in morning but once started, would start everytime until next morning. i changed fuel pump, filter, fuel pressure regulator, coil, cap, rotor, pickup coil, battery. i was finally told the '96 had a recall on the fuel injection assemby. i changed that out with the new mpf system and it solved the problem. runs like a striped ape. hope this helps.

Just got 1994 s-10 v-6 pu ran for two weeks.always had a ruff time to start replaced battery and cables along with fuel filter.now wont start and already drained 3 new battteries.

If your still having a hard time starting, then it's probably the starter. They can short out and will **** the life out of batteries.

The timing is out . you can check this by getting #1 to TDC, pull the cap off and see where the rotor is pointing. It should be pointing to the # 1 cylinder. Gas engine

New battery, new alternator, new starter, still won't start, 1994 chevy cheyenne 5.57 v8 ck2500

Get a fuel pressure gauge and measure on the fuel supply line on the rear of the inlet manifold. In my experience you need close to 4Bar while cranking. Priming pressure should be about 4.4Bar. This test will eliminate a variety of possible problems. I need more history to be more specific.

First thing disconnect the battery terminal. There is a postive wire that is attached to the starter that should be a 13 mm, and pull of the negitive connectio to the starter. There will be no more than two to three bolt to remove on the starter. Problem solved, in less then a half hour.

94 chev k2500 revs up and then dies- has new throttle position sensor, new alternator, new starter

YOU MOST LIKELY HAVE A 5.7 LITER ENGINE WITH TBI.
THE FIRST THING TO CHECK IS FUEL PRESSURE. SOME OF THESE ENGINES HAVE FUEL PORTS ON THE LINES RIGHT BEHIND THE THROTLE BODY THAT YOU CAN HOOK UP A FUEL GAUGE TO AND CHECK PRESSURE. IF IT DOESN'T, HAVE SOMEBODY WITH THE RIGHT TOOLS CHECK THE PRESSURE. SOME OF THESE ENGINES START WITH AS LITTLE AS 9PSI, BUT WHEN YOU STEP ON THE GAS THE FUEL PUMP CAN ONLY DELIVER 9PSI AND IT STALLS
GOOD LUCK

1999 blazer wont start??

Your battery is either faulty or ther is a parasitic drain, have it checked out at parts house. With a good battery installed, spray some starter fluid into intake housing. If it starts, then dies, you have fuel pressure/delivery problems. Can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn on the key? Hope this helps.

Won't start after sitting for 6-8 months

First, try to get engine to fire and eliminate the ignition as the problem. While cranking squirt start fluid into intake and see if engine trys to start if it does you will probably need to fix the fuel system as sitting for that long will ruin it due to stale fuel turning corrosive.Pump filter etc and injector cleaner to try to clear gummed up injectors.
