Dose the 99 Blazer have shims in between the starter and the eng.?

some do require shims but most of the time u can get by with out them depending on where the starter gear hits the flex plate

you may need a shim between your starter and the block. Most starters are ok, but some need shims so that the teeth on starter line up with teeth on flywheel. Starter is probably jammed

I am guessing that your starter is turning the eng over. If so, turn the key to the ACC position and listen for your fuel pump to turn on momentarily. If it doesn't, new fuel pump.
If it isn't turning over, replace the starter and make sure if you put it in it is shimmed correctly. This is done for a correct fit to your fly wheel.

It all depends. Normally when you buy a replacement starter there is a piece of straight wire that comes with it that helps you to "gap" the tranny's fly wheel teeth to the starter's teeth...so they mesh properly.

Are you asking because you have flywheel damage on the transmission side or are you having starter problems?

I don't see how the noise you hear could be coming from the water pump or radiator but yes it could be coming from not having the starter shimmed out far enough from the ring gear. Did you change the starter or do anything prior to hearing this noise?

You need starter shims between the starter motor and the engine block. shims are availble at your auto part store.

bleed the brake again. if the pedal goes to the floor with little resistance, then the master cylinder is your problem.
the shim is to depress the noise when you applied the brake. you can skip that, if the brake works without it.

probably need to be bled again on that side

did you put the shims back in the starter?
