Question about 1987 Nissan Pathfinder
The key and tumbler is bad. If rocking the steering wheel did not work the tumbler is the problem. Which brake foot or parking brake is stiff ? How do you mean stiff ? Is it hard , or hard to push?

You said that you giggled the steering wheel, Ron's suggestion was to confirm that you rocked the steering wheel. Which is the proper advice. but I want to define rocking the steering wheel. You need to turn the wheel one direction real hard, hold it there and try the key, then the other direction, same way. if that still doesn't work, I spray lube into cylinder and massage key in cylinder. another thing I try for worn out keys/ cylinders is to hold slight turning tension on the key, while I rock the key vertically in the cylinder as I pull out on the key at the same time.
If it is just ware on the key or cylinder that is keeping it from turning it, this method works pretty good with a little practice.
I hope my description makes sense.
