91 ford mustang cobra 5.0, fuel pump and relay is working but no power going 2 fuel pump even bypass inerita switch in trunk still don't start unless I run straight power to fuel pump what else can I try or do?
The ignition module sends a "pip" signal to turn on the fuel pump and keep it running. If the signal is lost, or not present you get no pump. This is a safety in case of accident or other hazard in order to shut off the fuel so it wont keep pumping into a car with the key still on but engine disabled for some reason. Take the module to your local parts store and have it tested, for free to check.
Check under your drivers side seat look for a relay replace it.... thats where mine was under the seat but some newer foxes had them in engine bay on left apron I believe.
Do you have voltage at the inerita switch? Sounds like you have a broken wire or bad connection. You are going to have to trace the wire back and see where it is that you loose the voltage.
A schematic would help ,as involved as you are. Maybe a Ford Tech will read your question
