Transmission oil in the radiator: Suspect you may also have water in transmission.

Likely culprit is the transmission has a small line that runs transmission fluid thru the radiator to cool the transmission fluid. It is supposed to be a closed system. Sounds like your radiator failed. Would expect with this kind of failure, you should replace and not repair the radiator. Then you need to flush and replace fluid & filter in transmission.

My Jeep grand Cherokee 2.7 2003 mixes oil with water in the reservoir.

engine oil brown, or ATF oil, pink/red/maroon?
did you look in the rad neck , and then drain out some (by any means)
rad coolant to a jar
let it settle and LOOK, see that oil pool up.
and say, (engine oil or ATF to self?)
first check transmission oil (at dip, or drain it)

if it has has any signs of milkshake color, (cream) BINGO.
the 14psi coolant is pushing in to the transmission too.

try to understand. this:
trans cooler in rad, bottom can be breached.
when you start and engine the trans pump pushes AFT to the rad.
then when engine gets hot, the 12-14psi RAD pressure reverses this flow , coolant to trans.
why not pressure test the trans cooler next, or first.

4 wheel drive quit at some time didn't know it...drives fine only rear wheels pulling..could it be electrical ??

I hava a 1999 Grand cherokee loredo V8 with full time 4wheel drive. when the rear tires slip I am hearing a poping noise in the front end when the 4wheel drive engages. I was told by one person that it could be the chain in the transfer case slipping but I was told by a jeep salesman that this year jeep did not have a chain. Could this be the CV joints in the front axels?

Trans slips only on left turns. Will a new trans

Sounds less like a transmission slip as a rear end issue. What exactly happens on the turn?

2001 Jeep Grand Char., trans slips when making left turn only , 144000 miles, filter and fluid was changed

theres not much you can do about a slipping trans. its probly more noticable when you turn left because your left rear wheel is your primary drive wheel, it takes more force to move your car from the inside corner than the outside. be gentle on it and it may last you a while

I have an automatic trans mission that doesnt go

The forward gears slip but dose the reversr gear slip as well if not your problem is either the forward band is worn out ,,,,or the forward pump is playing up and also it could be the thing that starts it all off is the filter in the auto sump is clogged up with metal or drive band dust is the colour of the auto oil dark or dirty..
When was the trans oil last changed.

1997 grand cherokee limited 4x4 v8

HI, It may seem obvious, but sometimes overlooked.... have you checked the oil level, as low oil can cause some strange things to happen! My 96 4 liter would be reluctant to move sometimes, but after I topped it up, it has been fine.

All wheel drive v8 issues 96 Jeep Grnd Cherokee Ltd

Any all wheel drive will give less fuel miles.(compared to ones you engage as needed) The Chrysler v8 is a time proven engine, pretty much a copycat of a chevy with some changes to make it their own. Overall, I haven't heard any really bad stuff about them. If you look at the problems on this site, there seem to be fewer jeep probs than all other vehicles. (even though some problems are really weird!!!)
What you really need to see is the vehicles history to make sure it's been maintained and has not been back to a shop for the same thing over and over.
Good luck!
