Hi,

I just wondered if you have had this repaired yet and what was causing it as my Audi A3 2005 model has exactly the same problem!!

In response to bs77bird - the two things are definatley related. When i am stationary and the bonnet light is on neither my front wipers or my windscreen wash work. when im moving, my wipers do work, but my windscreen wash still doesnt. When the light turns itself off occasionally, both the wipers and windscreen wash work when im stationary and moving.

Any help would be great as i dont want to get ripped off for something i could potentially fix myself!

Sounds like two different problems the bonnet light that flashes at you is most likely caused by a failed door latch. there is a small micro switch in the latches that will fail. The best way to check this is to roll all you windows down close your doors and lock them then open your doors from the inside latch if the alarm does not go off for one of the doors that would be the bad door latch. to turn off the alarm just hit the unlock button on your remote key fob. if all the doors set off your alarm then it would be the trunk latch that has failed. As far as the wipers go have you checked your fuses. also if the latch on your hood has gone bad the wipers will not work. try that hopefully that will point you in the right direction.

Bonnet stuck down

If the inside latch won't work, you'll have to reach up from underneath the hood to pull the lever over to open. Usually a flatblade screwdriver will help. The latch lever has to move towards driver's side to open.

Renault clio bonnet wont open

Get a second person to pull bonnet catch and you push up and down on the bonnet whilst catch is being pulled. 1, cable possibly stretched, 2, look at bonnet catch under the coloum to see if wire is attached, 3, try and lie under car and look up the back of the bulkhead to see the catch and release it manually. Hope that helps.

Peugeot 207 SW

It doesn't have a bonnet I'm afraid. The only access points are the two grills just below the windscreen which you can open by using the car key to twist the 'screws' holding them in.

Under these grills are the window washer resevoir and an air filter (I think)

The engine access point is in the boot under a lift-up flap....

Hope this is of help to you... :)
