fords have a problem with the wires on the starter getting really corroded and breaking,i would check the solenoid wires with a test light while a friend tries to crank it. does it make any effort to turn the engine over or not. what kind of noise do you hear when you try to start it
You have a bad starter. A faulty starter will function when its cold but when it heats up, it takes more energy to get the starter to engage. Your problem is exhibiting the classic symptoms of a bad starter. I hope this solves your problem and the best of luck to you.
There are 2 relays or solenoids as they called on a starter, one is on the inside of the fender under the hood, follow the positive battery cable, the other is on the starter, both do the same thing, later years only have the one solenoid on the starter.
