You may have a faulty sensor, most cases a wheel speed sensor, the light is on warning you that you do not have abs basically your car will stop like an old 70's model car before abs. abs atands for anti lock brakes, it keeps your brakes from locking up under extreme braking.

it is problem with abs control unit, replace it for testing purpose and try it.

check wires and connections for the abs sensors for damaged or loose connections abs and traction control are connected

try to disconect the batery it will reset the computer if the abs light doesnt go off then check your brakes

You can try a software called digilitemoto and the right cable...It needs a computerised car diagnostic test.

actually it could be something as simple as low on brake fluid. check this and then check to make sure you do not have worn brake pads on the tires this can also set a code when one tire stops quicker than the other
