After changing the camshaft censor and the car still wont start what could be the problem also is there a fuse that needs to be replaced this is a 2004 pt cruiser the code say its the camshaft censor also with a code p0016 & p0340

It does not have a Cam sensor. I would check for vacuum leaks around the area where the intake manifold bolts to the head. Very common for them to leak.

What is the RPM at and how long does it stay there. How long has it been doing this? Is the check engine light on?

Have you checked the asd relay ? What do you do to get it to start again ?

You didn't mention if you changed the plug wires.

You mentioned replacing the camshaft sensor. Have you checked the Crankshaft Position Sensor? Or the Mass Air Flow Sensor (may need cleaning)? Or the Throttle Position Sensor?

Double check to make sure you didn't accidentally unplug and censors on the harness. Also check your fuses. for you ignition.

Hello there , try your battery terminals. The smaller wires that go to your terminals can be electronic ignition , if there connection is dirty or the in line fuse is corrosive your motor will turn over and not start. .. Regards Graham ....

Tune up ,fuel filter,module,battery and connection.

if you have not changed the camshaft position sensor you need to do that sounds exactly like my problem got the new fuel pump and filter in there and it was fine for a month then same thing started happening again, been fine for 7 months since I changed my camshaft position sensor

try the crank position sensor. the one on the bell housing

l like keepin it simple and say check all grounds clean n tight and engine fuse box is dry and clean.

have you tried resetting computer, hot wire off battery for5 mins or so
