If you have leaf springs jack the truck and remove shackle plates and bushes. If you have coil springs remove the bars and the bushes may have to be pressed in and out.. If you have independent suspension you will have to remove the arms and press the bushes in and out.

Cut them out. You get new ones with the kit. These bolts do not come out. I really mean they don't come out. Have fun. I always hate doing these jobs.

U-joints would be one thing I would inspect. Check drive-shaft slip yoke for play, ring and pinion for slop, Also trans mount, engine mounts and rear leaf spring and shackle bushings.

once you have the passenger side/nearside drive shaft out use some thing long to slide in onto the head of the stuck drive shaft. use something soft like a old wooden broom handle then knock out using hammer. ford have used simple spring clips to keep there drive shafts in and thes are easily come by if deformed or squashed

the part is called the pinion flange seal, pull the drive shaft, remove the large nut on the flange the drive shaft connects to and remove the flange, then pry out the old seal and lube the lip of the new seal with motor oil and press it into the opening. The 7.5 hour estimate is way wrong, about 1.5 hours labor and $4 for the part.

Replacing springs requires new U Bolts also
Raise and Jack stand Body then use floor jack at diff to raise rear diff and remove U Bolts Easy wat torch or Die grinder w/cutoff wheel then remove the shackle or Bushing Bolts 2 each side yank out old reverse procedure to Install 1&1/2 to 3 hours

check the cv joint
