Buying a used hard top for my 91 jeep wrangler...i see how to secure back area of top to jeep,but want to know how to secure top to windshield area...

no you have an AMC '83 and a Chrysler '91... Chrysler widened the body if I remember correctly... But I am not a jeep expert only a connoisseur

the front windshield? uses special caulk that is rated for
occupant containment strength. (laws regulate it type)
rubber what rubber?
the sealant is surely not rubber.

that was my useless guess.... not knowing WHAT glass....

the wiper needs to be tighten some more, there is a nut that holds the wiper to the motor tight that nut.

Yes soft top jeeps can be very loud. Honestly your probably better off just leaving the top off. No matter what you do to the jeep it is not going to be more streamlined.

The problem with jeeps and aerodynamics is they are completely flat in the front they are a giant wind sale. The drag created by air inside of the cab is going to be no worst than the drag created with out it.

OK I have a yj and you start from the windshield put the snaps/or what ever yours is on the top of the doors then down the side or the doors then under the back side window then around the curve and this is the hardest part then your tailgate also make sure your bars on the inside are loseuntil the top is on then thighting those bars and you should have a nice tight top but belive me it is hard and you might need a flathead screw driver for the corners. To make this adjustment you have to loosen the 3 bolts that hold the windshield frame to the dash and the bolt that allows for adjustment in the rollbar extensions. This will allow you to push the windshield forward or backward to close the gap. then tighten everything back up!

on a 97-06 wrangler the oem soft top has clamps to hold top to windshield to use a bikini you will need a bikini top windshield header not included with most bikini tops it bolts on no drilling and allows the bikini to attach at the front the rest is done with the straps supplied.

Best thing to do is make sure nothing is bend or broken in the skeleton. Start from front sleeve above windshield. Secure the snaps on the roll bars. Then work to the back.

not really i had a 1995 and the a/c was seperate. who needs a/c with a soft top anyways. so in short no they weren't tricking you it was seperate
