How do I adjust low idle adaptation on 2005 Tacoma prerunner 4.0

1. Relearn the idle speed by disconnecting the EFI fuse and the ECTS fuse from the under hood fuse box. Leave the fuses out for 2-3 minutes minimum. Reinstall the fuses. Using your finger, push the throttle plates closed completely. Hold the throttle plates closed completely and have a helper turn the ignition switch on. Release the throttle plates as soon as the key is turned on. Reinstall the boot to the throttle body and start the vehicle. Allow the vehicle to idle for 5 minutes. Test drive the vehicle and check for normal idle operation.

F 150 shuts off when y I u turn a/c on 5.4 3v

the engine stalls. (i bet only on a hot engine, , am i right?)
this can be 2 things. but with this huge of engine 1.
the engine idle controls are not idling up.
or extreme, the engine is too weak and the compressor has issues.
does the car driver perfect A/c off? full power and normal hot
engines. and idle speed is at spec hot. near 800 RPM?
(spec, rpm is stated clearly on the hood sticker) open hood look up and under. see that EPA sticker, ?

if RPM is normal. hot.
the engine has huge power.
you turn on A/c and the rpm must not drop
did you try to push the throttle down to prevent the stall.
did that work> yes./no,
if yes,did the A/c belt squeal>?
if that cant work and belt does not scream, the engine has very low power.
the ECU increases idle speed when the A/C is on. this prevents stalls.
this can fail, if the ISC is bad. or diry.

Low idle

Remove EFI fuse 20 Amp from under the hood (engine compartment) for 5 Sec or more. Do the throttle body cleaning and relearn the idle speed.

1998 Grand Marquis. Start goods. idols low. put in gear, stalls out. Changed fuel filter & had injectors serviced. Problem remains. Could it be the Transmission modulator valve?

I would check the operation of the idle speed control valve, it is what changes the idle speed when a load like the transmission is put on the engine, without it the engine will idle slow and stall out, this is even more apparent when reverse gear is selected or drive or the AC is tuned on. The ISC valve is located on the side of the throttle body top of upper intake manifold. Below is a picture of the ISC (idle speed control valve)

Car would not start so replaced battery, then alternator; Ran great for roadtrip then shut down on the freeway. Can hear the fuel pump, so replaced the fuel filter; has spark. Has fuel. Wires are in good...

WHEN A CAR SHUT DOWN ON HIGHWAY OR FREEWAY.YOU CAN STILL HAVE FAULTY FUEL PUMP.IT COULD BE RUNNING BUT THE FUEL PRESSURE CAN BE TOO WEAK.THE 2.5 ENGINE FUEL PRESSURE IS 6.0 TO 7.0 PSI AND THE 3.3 ENGINE FUEL PRESSURE IS 37 TO 43 PSI. ANOTHER THING CHECK TO MAKE YOUR COOLANT IS NOT LOW.LOW COOLANT CAUSES ENGINE GET TOO HOT SHUT OFF.CHECK PVC VALVE AND EGR VALVE MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT STUCK OPEN OR DISCONNECTED.AND MAKE SURE IDLE SPEED IS NOT TOO LOW YOU IDLE SPEED IS ON THE FACTORY STICKER UNDER THE HOOD.

Engine idle is too low once air conditioner is turned on

Take idle air control valve off & give it & port it came out of a good cleaning with throttle body spray cleaner, and see if that cures it. If it does, but starts to do it again later, replace it.

Make sure there are no broken hoses on the intake manifold, or anywhere else under the hood. There are many hoses of many different sizes to be considered,, so check them all. Listen for rushing air, or a whistling sound. If you suspect an intake leak, briefly spraying small amounts of WD-40 ( without the long red straw attached) at a leak will change the speed of the idle....this would indicate that you are on the right track. A leak would cause a high idle, but maybe not enough power to keep the car running under load at low speed. As unwanted extra air is introduced into the manifold from any source, the fuel mixture can get leaned out causing a higher idle and a loss of power. Good luck.
