The in dash button for the fuel door, and trunki release do not work

Sounds like a ground bus in the dash is not tight.

try pressing the button and have someone else try to open the door, if it works, ... i tried that and it didnt work ... I have a 2011 Grand Cherokee Limited and my problem is that the fuel door stuck or ... There is a manual release in the cargo area. .... Itdoesn't sound like the internet is going to solve your issue.

Which fuse were you checking? There are two fuses in the trunk release circuit - one underhood (ALDL) which feeds the trunk/fuel door release circuits via the valet switch and also the ALDL circuit; and one under the back seat (BODY fuse) for the trunk release.

Unfortunately, relay control signals for these releases run through the IPM (Instrument Panel Integration Module) which handles the release buttons on the dash, and the RIM (Rear Integration Module), which receives these signals from the IPM and handles them and the trunk release button on the keyless remote.

If the fuel door release is working at the dash and the trunk release is not, the ALDL fuse should be OK and the problem may still be with the BODY fuse, trunk release relay or wiring. If that isn't the problem, then I suggest you check for IPM and RIM DTC's (error codes).

Look in trunk on the same side as fuel door. Should be a little cable with red tag on it,this will be the manuel release.Somtimes hidden behind carpeting.Look close.

First open glove box and look in the left top corner and you should see a black valet button. Press this then see if the fuel door release works then. If you still need the replacement get the part number from your local Lincoln or Ford dealer

ck all fuses, some cars have a way if you open the trunk look inside where the fuel door is, it may have a release handle.

inside the trunk on the gas cap side behind the felt panel is a manual cable it will have a black fob on a stainless steel cable

You may find a release for the fuel filler door in the trunk. Look behind the carpet on the side the filler is on and at about the same level.
