Where is the crankshaft position sensor on a 1990 chevy cavalier 3.1? And how do i replace it?

The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located under hood, center, rear engine area, below ingnition
coil pack and DIS module, mounted in engine block.

Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor
A
magnetic crankshaft sensor (Hall Effect switch) is used which is
remotely mounted on the opposite side of the engine from the DIS/IC
module. The sensor protrudes in to the engine block, within about 0.050
in. (1.27mm) of the crankshaft reluctor.

The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located under hood, center, rear engine area, passenger side
of exhaust pipe, above oil pan, mounted in engine
block.
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (Crankshaft Sprocket) - OHC Engines
(see Figure 1)
Remove the timing belt front cover.
As outlined earlier, remove the timing belt.
Unfasten the crankshaft sprocket-to-crankshaft attaching bolt and thrust washer, then remove the sprocket.

To install:
Position the sprocket over the key on end of crankshaft.
Install the thrust washer and the attaching bolt. Tighten to as follows:
1982-83 vehicles: 115 ft. lbs. (156 Nm)
1984-87 vehicles: 107 ft. lbs. plus a 45° rotation
1988 vehicles: 96 ft. lbs. (130 Nm) plus a 45° rotation
1989-94 vehicles: 114 ft. lbs. (154 Nm)
Install the timing belt and adjust as previously described.
Install the timing belt front cover.
