The clutch plates and their retainer springs have weakened. The clutch plates need replacement along with the retainer spring which keeps the clutch firmly gripping the cam shaft rotating flywheel, thus loosing the least amount of energy transmitted to the axle which in turn rotates the wheels. I don't what the error code means since you have not specified the make/model of the the sensor package, but the symptoms are exactly as you have described. Hope this helps .............................. sodeep

The p1131 indicates lean, there COULD be a vacuum leak? but there are so many causes of lean running that you could spend a week checking all of them. the p1479 indicates a problem with the cooling fan high speed circuit ....there is a CCRM (constan control relay module) up by the radiator, these have a bunch of relays in them and COULD be a problem, but you will need a service manual, electrical diagrams, and a scanner to properly diagnose. I would have a shop check it out. you dont want to spend money on guesses. stay away from any chain store operations, find a qualified shop that is able to diagnose this for you.

Is it normal for the revs to stay up when changing gear in a 2002 4x4 3.0L turbo diesel navara?

do they revs drop off when taking pressure off accelerator pedal when out of gear? if only staying high during gear change it would suggest a worn clutch friction/pressure plate so the engine isn't slowing down when clutch is depressed .I'd also have the OBD codes read to see if there is a sensor/switch at fault , but sounds like the clutch to me

Why is the gear shifter on the 1996 ford escort shake when in 5th gear?

Often this is wear in the linkage and not a problem in the actual gear box. Often the bushings wear or elongate allowing for excessive movement. So when your driving along normal road vibrations that would otherwise be absorbed are being transmitted to the gear shifter and hence the shake you have identified.
In rare cases this is a problem with the clutch being out of alignment and in need of repair.

No drive when accelerting

The friction disc in the clutch is slipping. The only solution is to have the clutch replaced.

Engine idle/running speeds sometimes excessive

You have a throttle problem (it gets stuck) take it to a mechanic and have it cleaned and greased up and that should solve your problem.

Clutch problem?

Clarify please. When in gear & you take foot off the pedal it revs?
Your explanation appears to say that when you push the clutch, to disengage clutch, engine revs, as it should, and when you remove your foot, from pedal & it engages, truck runs as it should. Are you serious, or just wasting our time?

Engine runs on when driving along

Sounds like the choke is sticking on, that would also explain the heavy fuel consumption
