The dash, tail and front side lights are all on the same fuse, and possibly the ignition supply to the stereo. check fuses to see if it has blown.

Why aren't my break/tail lights working on my 1995 Mitsubishi mirage? No fuses or bulbs are blown.

Well the brake-turn signal and tail lights are on two different circuits, but share a common ground.
If the ground is good, and the parking and turn signals work in the front, it could be a wiring problem.

How do i replace left rear brake light bulb

1) Open trunk
2) Remove small round plastic access panel with a flat tip screw driver by prying open
3) Remove flat tip screw holding tail light assembly
4) Remove tail light assembly by pulling outward, careful not to break plastic guide/nub
5) Disconnect wiring connectors
6) Remove plastic housing access plate on back of tail light assembly by twisting/turning tabs until they click and then lift access plate from tail light assembly
7) When viewing the the bulbs, the turn signal bulb is the bottom left bulb
8) Install in reverse order, ensuring tail light seal seats properly during installation

When I turn my lights on my tail lights work but when I hit my brakes the don't light up I have a 2001 vw beetle????

the brake lights don't light up or the taillights don't light up? the brake lights are brighter than the tailights so the tailights won't show up whenbrakes are applied. if no lights work when brakes are applied then check for a bad ground at the light assembly.

Tail light doesnt turn on with headlights but works fine as a break light and turn signal, why?

in the rear lights you may have two bulbs one is the turn signal the other one is stop light / tail light the stop light / tail light has two filaments, one for the stop light (21 watt) & one for the tail light (5 watt) it is possible that the tail light filament is blown, try replacing the bulb to see if that fixes the problem, also check all the fuses as well.......hope this helps......cheers.

Hell i just bought a chevy cavlier and my back break light is out...the light its self is on...its just the break light when pressed...

you don`t say if its both or just one brake light out.you say the light itself is on but not if you mean tail light or what.the tail lights use a different filament in the bulb than the signal light which is the same filament that the brake light uses.if the signal light work on the rear then the bulbs are good,if just one side works then the bulb is no good on the side that doesn`t work.if the signal lights work but neither brake light works then you need to check the fuses in the fuse panel under the dash on the drivers side.if the fuses are good then it will be either a bad wire at the brake switch or a bad brake light switch, this is located on the brake pedal lever under the dash.

I have no brake lights after stereo being installed

Have you checked your fuse yet? It will be labeled tail lamp probably. If the fuse is ok, you need to check the break switch. It is located above your break pedal. It looks chrome and it is a round cylinder. The break leg hits the break switch button when you hit the break, which turns on the break lights. You can mess with the small button and it might help. If not, it will need replaced. If you need anything else Joelsta, please let me know. I am here to help. A 4 thumbs up is appreciated if you appreciate the answer. Thanks.

In my 89 cevy silverado my lights all worked until i hit the brakes and the tail light and the break light would go out, but my tail light works just fune until i hit the brakes

Check the rear bulbs, and see if they are burned out, check to see if a double element bulb is in the socket, not a single element bulb.

Brake lights dont work, Turn Signals all goofy

First thing i would do is chg. the break light switch, and make sure to chk. all grounds around tailights, sometimes if there is a ground problem it will travel back thru the hot wire to get a ground, witch in turn makes everything go wackey.
