Can you hear the washer pump run when it is activated? If so check for a split small hose at the washer reservoir. You may need to repalce the pump. It is in the bottom for the washer fluid reservoir.

Can you hear it make a "buzzing" pump noise when you press the fluid button try it with the key on and the engin off so you can hear better? also do you live up north and is it or has it been below freezing? and if so are you using winter non freeze formula?

1, if there is no pump noise then first check the fuse box, unfortunatly it could be the pump had burned out from dry running.

2. MORE Likely if your in the North, people often forget to put in winter washer fluid espically if the car has been down south. ice crystals form in the hoses and block the fluid, easy fixes is to park in a warm garage over night once thawed spray all the fluid out and put in winter formula otherwise it will happen again.

3. you could have a dirt blockage in the hose if the pump is working and your not in the cold north, see if you can gently remove the hose near the bottle and have somone press the button see if fluid comes out then reattach and repet these steps till you find the blocked fluid hose.

Good luck.

You have a motor for the front and rear washer. Check the fuses. If the intermitted wipers does not work, there is a relay under the dash near the steering colum that needs to be replaced.

It should be on or close to the tank.

Check power at the pump motors. You may not see a fuse because some run off a circuit breaker. If all else fails, a bit "backyard" but you likely could break out the washer pumps from the system and make a simple push button on the dash to operate them.

Fluid pumps from back but not from front windshield washer on my 1999 jeep grand cherokee

The pump for it on the bottom of the washer reservoir may be bad, or the wire may have got unplugged. The rear washer has its own separate reservoir and pump.
If the pump for the front works, the lines may be plugged.
Good luck.

2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Front windshield washer does not work. A while back, hit something on the road that cracked the reservoir. Patched the hole, back washer began working. Front still does not work...

Check to ensure the front reservoir pump is connected and receiving power. Is the fuse bad?
It is possible the pump inlet is clogged. This would require removing the reservoir and flushing it.
If this is a washer with an external, self-priming pump, is the pump uptake tube in the cap missing?

The rear washer pump is located under the washer resevour under the hood. There are 2 pumps. The one closest to the firewall is the pump for the rear. The other is the one for the front windshield.

What fuse controls the windshield washer pump? on a 2001 Jeep Che

usually it's in the washer bottle which is usually in the fender well, ahrd to get to.
The fuse that controls it should be listed in your owners manual. Usually a 10 amp fuse in the fuse panel inside the car usually on the instrument panel somewhere.
