You'll want to check the relay by exchanging two of them side to side. If all of a sudden your top works but your car won't start.....need I say more? Good luck my friend, Dana

My one touch up/down feature for my driver window no longer works on my 08 ford Taurus x limited vehicle, i tried some of the online solutions of rolling up and down the window and holding the button for...

This would indicate a bad relay under the hood. Usually all relays are in a black box under the hood. When you push the window up or down button it energizes a relay which starts the motor moving in the direction chosen. Inside the door there are little switches on top and bottom which tell the relay to shut off the window is closed. The relay box has a diagram inside (normally) which shows what relay energizes what. You should check the fuse for windows for it may be the relay itself is fused.

WHERE IS AC HEATER CONTROL SWITCH ON 2002 MONTE CARLO

The switch is the thing on the dash with the knobs about 220 dollars. The switch(resistor) that controls the fan speed is under the dash on the far right under by the fan 20 dollars. I would check that power is getting to the fan or unplug and run jumper wires to the fan if it doesn't turn on the fan is bad 40 dollars. There is a blower motor relay under the hood in the black box by the battery or on the passenger side looking in the top it will tell you what relay and fuse is for what circuit. Sometimes they put a spare in there marked spare if not use an identical one from another circuit 14 dollars. If this helps please rate it thanks

Wipers will not work on my lincoln ls ! i have changed the wiper motor, i have changed clock spring . rain sensor likes up.the relays click

Unfortunately your circuit is very complicated involving several relays and fuses as well as the FEM, which takes the input from the switch. Since you can hear relays clicking, you are probably hearing the run/park relay. That means your FEM and switch may be fine. The main wiper relay is supposed to be on whenever the car is running, so perhaps that is the one that is NOT on. Check fuses 20 in the box under the hood and 26 in the box inside the car. Note that there are 2 relay boxes under the hood. You want the one shaped like the pic below. If those fuses are good, pull out the main wiper relay, turn the key on, and then push the relay in listening closely to see if it clicks when you push it in. If it doesn't, try swapping it for another relay in the box.

My 2002 bonneville's driver window will not go up when I press the switch and the left rear window also will not work. the right side windows front and back work fine. Also when I press the left rear...

Thats a pretty cool trick!!! Try this:

Window fuse's and relay's may be up under driver or passenger side dash or behind glove box, under the hood and even under the seats, and finally on the ends of the dash. All passenger power windows and locks are controlled thru and get power from the master control switch on the drivers door.

Drivers door window gets used the most so it could be the motor, window switch, relay or fuse.
Could also be a broken wire in the rubber boot going from the door to the body. You will have to eliminate each till you find the culprit. Check that all switches return to neutral when released.
The motor and the relay are the most likely to cause this problem. Try swapping the relay with a working window relay. If it still doesn't work, remove the door panel and remove the window motor.
Turn the motor shaft in both directions by hand several turns. Then plug the motor in and see if the switch will now run the motor. Sometimes that's all it takes to get it working again. I have had to do this with brand new motors. If voltage is not present at the motor connector, either a bad switch or a broken wire exists. Make sure to check for voltage coming to that windows switch. Actually, GM use's a circuit breaker type relay for each window and one fuse for all the circuit breakers.

Try this....
Open the door, turn the key to the ON position without starting the engine and everything that makes noise is off. Lean down placing your ears close to the bottom center of the door or at the speaker grill. Press the window switch UP and DOWN. Listen for the window motor. If heard the drive is damaged. If not heard, turn key off and locate and replace the relay with one of the other window relays. Check window again. If it works now, get a new relay. More often than not, removing the motor and turning it by hand will get it working good as new. I have had to do that with Brand New motors! So try it.
If all has failed, with the door panel still off, check for voltage at the motor connector when pushing the window switch. No voltage means its the switch, especially if its a auto down or up switch.
