Fault code 227, 228, 238, 239, 240, 241, 242, 243 on BMW e46 320 ci (04/2001). All lambdas, coils, spark plugs and crankshaft position sensor changed recently. Thanks

codes 238-243 are mis-fires in each of the six cylinders. You know that because you have been changing parts trying to correct the spark. But this is just the symptom. Codes 227 and 228 are the fuel system fault in bank one and two. This is the real problem and causes the other codes. Its not getting enough fuel. Try changing the fuel filter with the fuel pressure regulator.

Where is the crankshaft sensor on a e46 318i

the crankshaft sensor is located under the starter motor, you will have to remove the air intake manifold to gain access to replace the sensor, if you are not sure how to carry out this repair it would be better to get a local garage to do it, regards mark
