I have a warning light on in a 2006 VW Jetta. It looks like a Christmas ornament with an explanation mark inside with star burst shooting out. Does anyone know what it means?

You should be able to find a picture of the warning light and its related explanation in your owners manual. Just look for the section that covers the instrument panel. If you don't have the owners manual, give the VW dealership a call and speak with a service writer, he should be able to explain what the light means and what you might need to do to correct it.
this says that one of your bulbs is not operating. check all lights round the car, including the brake lights (have somone to oberatge the brake while you have a look). you will see one not working. replace and sign goes away
IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO THAT, THEY CALL IT A EUROPEAN PARKING LIGHT, THE CAR GIVES YOU A WARNING ALARM AFTER YOU TURN THE KEY OFF, REQUESTING YOU TO CANCEL TURN SWITCH.
