Whirring noise every time the gas pedal is pressed

Every time I accelerate (press the gas pedal), the car makes a whirring noise. Also, every time the car has been turned over for several hours, the belts squeak very loud when the car is turned back on, when you step on the gas pedal, and when you turn the steering wheel.

When accelerating my 1996 Ford Clubwagon I hear a low pitch whirring sound that stops when I let off the gas. What could be the issue?

That is likely to be transmission issues. Check the transmission fluid and you might add some transmission improver. You can identify where the sound is coming from by using listening devices. Car Guru Scotty Kilmer did a video on this yesterday. You could also search his videos for 'whining noise'.

The video was about wheel bearings, but it shows the equipment. He also states that noise isn't always from where it seems to be.

1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 L has trouble accelerating

often times the engine needs to warm up to normal operating temperature. this varies from makes and models. if you cant wait that long, having it idle for approximately 5 - 10 minutes should at least lessen the acceleration problem, but the longer you wait the better it will be on the engine.

Oil light

Hi lady d tilli,

Take off the fuse cover on the drivers side of the dash. there should be a bunch of fuses. in the middle is a red button that says "reset." turn your key to the on position, but DO NOT START. press the reset button until the change oil light blinks, then turn the key back off it should be fine after that. for the 05's theres somthing you have to do with the gas pedal. i think you do the same, by turning the key on but not starting...and then tapping the gas pedal 3 times.

Hope this helps a bit,
Good luck,
Eitan.
