If you need to take the door panel off to open the door this is how to remove it. It may be harder to do this with the door closed.

You will have to take the door panel off.....its probably a linkage rod that has come off...

You will probably need assistance with the repair, but first try this. Spray some spray lubricant like WD40 into the keyhole on the exterior using the tiny straw provided with the lubricant can. Try locking and unlocking manually using your key in the outside key lock and try activating the handle to open the door while you have someone pull in and out on the door. Once it's open, you may need to remove the interior panel to see if something is rusted, worn or bent.

Central locking on a 1.6 w reg ford focus not working and the key fab and boot open button.... front passenger side goor not locking at all all other doors i can manually lock except the front door...
(door lock actuator)all doors have one in them, they weeken, and sometimes work to open, and some times to lock, or not at all. only fix is to replace each of them as they go out, usually cost abt 20 to 40 bucks a piece

After a minor impact on my passengers side door my 02 Ford Focus will turn over but not start
Hi Mackenzie_me,
There is an inertia switch on this car.When there is a big enough impact,the switch will open up to shut down the fuel pump. This switch is located on the panel on the base of the "A" pillar on the passenger side. Or the panel where the right foot of your front passenger would be. You will see a small cut out that will allow you to push the reset button. Give this a try,let me know how it turns out. Chuck

I believe it is near the passenger's side floorboard, right behind the door hinge. There is an indentation with a rubber button and the fuel symbol near it.

Heater fan speed ford focus 2002
change the fan resistor,its under passenger dash,very cheap to buy and fit in 20mins.open your dash and press 2 side in to let dash door drop down.you,ll see it on left hand side on a left hand drive car and right side on a right hand drive.it contols the fan speeds.just release wire block,undo screw,take out and put new one in.normaly white or blue in colour.hope this helps
