There are a couple of things this could be.
First, check to see if the rods connecting to the IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control) are connected. The little white clips easily brake off with age. You can find this just above the water pump, just under the upper intake manifold. The IMRC is bolted into the lower intake maifold with 3 bolts.
Second, buy the intake manifold and valve cover repair kit, and clean out the EGR ports when the upper intake is off. You'll see the small holes clogged with oil.
Also, I recommend changing the lower intake gaskets. Mine were leaking and decided to change them after I completed the upper intake and had to take everything apart a second time.
Code P0302 is misfire cylinder Number 2
