Lexus rx300 trunk won't open using the remote or manually locking/unlocking outside with the key or when trying to push the door from inside. The battery ran down and I was jump started the same day this happened. (I think I left my lights on.) I got a jump and the car and the rest of the locks seem fine now... except I can't get the trunk open. ?????
Hmm, good suggestion - I tried to push down and open but unfortunately that didn't work. What's a "Florissant handle?"Hmm, good suggestion - I tried to push down and open but unfortunately that didn't work. What's a "Florissant handle?"

I have read this 6 times and still not sure what the issue is? I have a 2005 ES330. To open all the doors with the key fob, you have to double press the Unlock Button. Pressing the Unlock button once, only opens the driver door.
The door lock module and further help is in the link.

May need new actuator. Try a slight lubricant like wd40 if that does not work. Try working switch back and forth. They usually start having problems when they get this old. You can have it replaced, but toyota /lexus is notorious for labor intensive repairs with can be costly if you take it to a dealer or very time consuming if you replace the actuator yourself.
This is the key security system. Somehow youv'e set it off. Used the wrong key tried to open the door with the alarm on. Opened the door or trunk from the inside after locking it from the outside. If your the real owner of the car it'll be no problem to get it fixed. If you have the correct key lock the doors from the outside with the key and lock it twice ( the doors ( all of them ) should lock). Leave the car alone for a minute, maybe 5. Then unlock the door twice, all the doors should unlock the second time. Enter the car and start it with the key. If you with a remote door lock fob that can work too. If this fails then try a different door or even the trunk. Sometimes the driver doorlock switch wears out or gets ice in it and unlocking a different door or useing the remote can get you going again.
the wires in the trunk lid are broken. this model has poorly designed electrical. there is a wire bundle on the right hand side of the trunk lid
open the bundle up and resplice the 4 wires. this will correct the doors and remote trunk opener.
