1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo electrical problem

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo and I turned the rear overhead lights on and the radio and modular dispay lost power and the overhead lights flicker and stay dim. There is also a ticking noise when the door is open coming from under the glove box. When the car is running the overhead lights remain dim and the modular display blinks with a red box in the engine section of the car diagram. I checked all the fuses and they are fine. The car runs fine, I'm thinking possibly a shorted wire or a problem with the relay under the dash? Any ideas? I'm at a loss and the Jeep delearship wants 98$ an hour!

I don't have a solution, but rather the same issue and was wondering if anyone has come up with a solution to this problem yet? I was moving some boxes and accidentally jammed one against the overhead panel and lights. Ever since then i've had the same issues as above???

I believe it's one of your relays too. There are a few relays under the glove box. If you can determine which one is clicking you can change it out and possibly solve your problem. Good luck...

Where do i find a fuse box diagram for a 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo?

There are 2 fuse blocks. The Power Distribution Center is under the hood along the passenger side fender and has fuses and relays in it. The other is on the passenger side of the dash and has fuses and circuit breakers.

How do you replace the yoke bearing in a 1994 jeep

The 3rd member would have to come out of the rear end housing, this is some thing you might want to have a certified shop with ASE tech do.

94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo: No power to left tail light

Traced the problem to the Lamp Outage Module located in the rear left quarter access panel behind the spare tire. Arcing had occurred on the left taillight line. Fortunately this part is readily available at your local Jeep recovery yard (none available in the U.S. from dealers). Recommend J& W Auto Wreckers in Antelope, CA (web site available). Massive number of Jeeps and fair prices. If you don't want to replace the LOM then you can join the two connectors that go into the LOM (LOM is optional) but you'll always show a lamp failure on your console.
