How do I sound proof the cab of my truck. The road noise is horrible.

Road noise can be caused by tires and by bearings. Sound proofing after market involves rubberized undercoating and insulation under the matting on the floor. It is dicey at best.

Front suspension noise-dull rattle-thumping sound,bumpy roads

look at the front lower engine mount. I had similar noise which has been driving me nuts, thought may be thesway bar links, put it on friends hoist and saw that the front engine mount (mounted to bottom of lower radiator support) was cracked and the rubber bushing inside very worn with pieces missing. odd thing is that reving, or putting into gear never caused it to make a noise, just certain bumps. I ordered part from Autozone, hopefully it gets here before the holiday week end is over.
Good luck

When the car goes 30miles and over, it makes a lot of noise. What could be the problem?

Noise? could you be more specific? like front, rear, right , left, accellerating, coasting, braking, can you make it louder turning ,like changing lanes. do different roads make it different? Engine speed related? road speed? do you hear it with the engine off? You would be best served to take it to a shop and get a Mechaninc to test drive it, than to have a hundred guesses and spend money on parts that you dont need.

Water pump?

Hello! If you're water pump is failing, you may or may not hear anything at all. At most, you may hear a whine, or squealing noise; but more often than not you won't hear anything. The high temperature that your car is operating at is a concern and needs to be addressed ASAP, as further and much more costly damage can occur very quickly if the cooling system is operating normally. Be sure to check coolant levels, ensure that all caps are in place securely. It might be worthwhile even to have your coolant system thoroughly flushed and refilled.

The sound that you describe, and the scenarios in which you do and don't hear it - suggest to me that you have a problem with the braking system. More specifically, you likely have warped rotor(s). If your steering wheel shakes when you apply the brakes, then this will confirm this theory.
If the steering wheel isn't shaking when you brake, then the next thing I would suspect is the wheel/hub bearing assembly. When a wheel/hub bearing goes bad, you will often experience vibrations, and a sound that is best described as a growling type of noise, much like that of excessive road noise.

I hope this helps, and good luck! Thanks for using FixYa!
