Check your radiator coolant level.Could be low or coolant sensor is bad, if not low more then likely sensor is bad.

probably a bad oil sending unit or the wire on the sending unit is loose its usually a single wire connector

tHE COMPUTER IS BEHIND THE RADIO simply remove the carpet sides fromthe center console and look under the dash and yhou will see the computer

what does the light look like?
is it a picture of some thing?
where is the light located? (dash roof, somewhere else)
a light normally indicated something needs attention, the picture that lights uo will let you know what it is.
if everything lights up it is normal when the key is turned on but the car is not running.
if there are a lot of lights on and the motor is running , the fan belt might be off, . it is important to understand what needs attention before attempting to drive it.

I should have picked up on this one a long time ago
I have a 91 eagle talon 2wd turbo. I blew a rad line one time and this light came on. So i knew it was coolant. This morning i parked on an incline and the light went on. So looked it up in the owners manual and sure enough that's exactly what the light means. Sometimes even when i drove the light would come on for a split second and then go off. (Just when I Brake hard). The light means the coolant reservoir is low / empty. /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";}Top that baby up to the line keeping in mind the coolant needs room to expand, (even if its in between the "low" and "max" thats still good). Then your good to go. Talons 4 life!
