Unplug the battery, the computer, and the alarm, then plug them back in in the following order: computer, alarm, battery. I found this worked for me. I got new keys made for my 99 maxima without knowing it had a chip in the original key. It basically locked me out. I couldn't start it or anything. After I "cycled power" on those three things it fired up immediately.
Replace the remote's battay

Remove the high tension cable to the distributor from the ignition unit. Conduct a spark test. If there's no spark, try to replace the ignition coil or the igniter.

Actually, this car has security system that prevent the trunk opened without using the master key. I often use this to lock my trunk. Just slid up the tiny lever upward to allow the trunk open from inside. the lever is on the back trunk (in the center, behind the Tail light) where the trunk door hook up with the lock system.
Cheers..

You can try to use another key if you have one, get one made. Also try to lock and unlock the doors, if this does not help you will need to bring vehicle to shop with high end scan tool so they can monitor what part of the security system is activating. Thanks

go to your pass side door and with the battery connected and lock and unlock the car with the key till the alarm turns off from the pass side

Opening the trunk with the key (not the valet key) will shut off the alarm.
Can't offer help on permanently disabling the alarm.

i don't have a remote for it. we also tried disconnecting the regular car battery, but that didn't help either. i was hoping there was a tool i could buy or way to reset it at home. if not, i will have to pay for towing and labor as well.
