Jump in! 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm. There is a hooking bracket on the head near the ps pump and a hooking bracket on the transmission. Loosen everything, unplug everything, drain coolant, pop axles out and lift them both out at the same time. If you're putting another motor in, try to get the same as yours according to external coil or internal coil on the distributor. 90 or 91 is easiest with your car. If not you'll be swapping your entire wiring harness. If you're putting an EX motor in an LX car (or other way around) you'll also need to change the header "o2 sensor is in a different spot", AC pump bracket and AC pump. I put a 93 EX in a 90 LX and it is fine! Extra work but runs great.

I assume this car is fuel injected. Honda's and Acura's have what is called a "main relay". Actually two relays in one package. One half controls whether the fuel pump runs or not and the other half can interrupt power to the fuel injectors. This is a dual purpose set of controls to do the same thing. As a computer controlled engine rev limiter it can kill one relay and cut power to the fuel pump which will slow the engine speed. If the owner or a mechanic has direct-wired the fuel pump (and so it doesn't cut off when the relay tells it to) the computer can then kill the other relay and cut power to the injectors, stopping fuel flow and slowing the engine speed. Relay contacts can fail and so can the solder connections where they attach to a circuit board inside this dual relay "pack". The result in the same. Intermittent fuel pump operation or no power to injectors, and usually heats up and fails, cools off and works again.
