I have a good batt. It seems to be a fuel problem not electrical. After she starts ( after a several seconds of spinning over ), I have no problem starting for the rest of the day, It used to start up fine, then one day this problem started, like it loses fuel pressure over night.

Buy a high amperage cold cranking battery! Typically there used in diesel engines, this will solve any hard starts!

What is the factory Idle rpm for 22re efi engine

I've seen from 500 to 1500 RPM in all the manuals I've been through, depending on the year and application (truck/car). In personal experience, 650-800 RPM is acceptable warm operation range. This will also depend on elevation. Will go up to 1200-1500 RPM for cold starting. I live at about 2000ft and my '86 Pickup 22RE idles at 725-750 like a top after about a 3-4 min warm up @ 1250 RPM if it's cold (<45ish).

95 4 runner rough idle at start

Hi, 1994 4-runner hard-start after 3-4 hrs......All the above are good possibilities and should be checked.....I don't know what changing to E3 means exactly, but if it means changing the spark-plugs, it could be that the plugs are too cold or too hot ....it is probably best to stay with the factory recommended plugs ....some plugs are hot and some are cold ,in case you are not aware of it.......good luck with it....Frankie Don.

Overheating and water mixed in with oil

Absolutely correct. Have cylinder head dye tested and checked for warpage before re-using. Do not run the engine any more than necessary ( into the garage or onto flatbed on it's way to shop) or you risk doing damage to engine bearings.

From the Mobil Oil website, all four versions of the 1988 Toyota 4 Runner selected below came back with a recommendation of 10W30 oil. If y the owner's manual came with the car, it should be in there.

Need to replace thermostat on 1992 toyota 4 runner. Where is it located?

The thermostat is located at the end of the upper radiator hose. Were the hose connects to the top of the engine on the passenger side of the valve cover on the engine. I believe the housing takes a 12mm socket. Don't for get to get a new gasket for the thermostat housing, how thermostats come with the gasket. I also recommend changing your radiator pressure cap 13psi.
