Viper remote cranks motor but doesnt keep running. Tried valet switch and still does not start. Just fixed anti-theft on car by leaving key in ignition. Did this cause the remote not to work correctly? 1998 Malibu-Viper model 160xv

Coooling fan head lights wipers wont work

The headlamps/wipers are most likely the multifunction switch, on the steering column side. This is a combination switch for the wipers and headlamps. The removal of steering wheel/airbag need to be accomplished. This should be performed by a professional.
There are 2 cooling fans, you need to verify which one, there is a large connector to fan, verify if you are getting power at the fan motor to determine what is the faulty unit. They are relativly easy to change, the fan and motor will come out as an assembly. .

Replace combination wiper switch 2002 Pontiac Bonneville

I just pulled one of these switches from car. You need a t20 torx bit and a flat head screw driver. Disconnect the negative terminal under the backseat so the airbag doesn't go off, the steering wheel doesn't need to be pulled.

1986 jeep cherokee laredo windshield wipers and turn signals wont work. checked fuses, checked power to fuse block, checked plug on lower steering column. Im getting power to the turn signal/wiper fuse of...

On a 1986 jeep I believe it has a "wiper-turn-signal assembly" that is all part of the turn signal lever. (I think its a GM/Chevy style.) The new models have an assembly that's in the steering column behind the steering wheel. If I'm correct that its all part of the lever, that is almost definitely the problem - 98-99%. Pretty much the same answer for the newer versions also. I have replaced over a couple hundred in my "career". Keep smiling.

Windsheild wipers not working, tried another wiper motor and fuses are ok am i missing a inline fuse or do i have to replace the switch?

could be the switch.but if it has intermittent wipers i think, not sure though, that that year has an intermittent wiper modul at base of steering column or near there. if it does unplug the two connectors to it and plug them into each other.if they now work then a new module is needed. but you dont need to replace it, you just wont have intermittent

99 malibu, key wont turn. Is it most likely switch or could it be the shifter cable?

Try moving the steering wheel left and right hard while trying to turn the key. Let me know if you have any more trouble. If the steering wheel is turned and against its stop then the key wont turn.

Honda Accord Saloon 2001 Windscreen Wipers : Intermittent wipe no longer works - Goes on to normal wipe Wipers do not stop when shut down. - Require to turn off ignition to stop them

2 things.

1 bad connections on the motor itself under the skuttle panel below the window screen.

2 the stalk from the steering wheel is broken, they have small metal parts inside they sometimes come lose and stop working, just replace it.

My 2006 Malibu steering wheel is going bad.

The power steering is electric on that car. It has a electric motor on the column, and a control module. There are several causes that could be the problem. You need to have it scanned to get a better idea of what to do. If you can give me the codes you get then I will be glad to advise you on what's best. Good Luck

Wipeers wont shut off

My 2001 Chevrolet Malibu had the same problem. The wipers would not stop. wipers wouldn't turn off. The problem was the wiper control module filled with water, seals break down with time. The wiper control module is attached to the front of the wiper motor under a black cover (three screws). I had to remove both wiper arms and the plastic debris guard between the window and the hood. Unplug the harness attached to the wiper motor, remove the three screws. The board is in te plastic cover. I pulled board out. dried it, put it back in and sealed the compartment with silicon. Works like new.
