1993 izuzu bighorn hard to start then dies like no petrol, when it does start blows black smoke like running rich ?

Running very Rich. Might be bad fuel pressure regulator.

You have a vacuum leak therefore your car is running rich

need a o2 sensor

Replace the carburetor one of the passage block off plugs was come out. Which one is hard to say.

Is it diesel or petrol.In either case seems like running too rich.

Everytime Ihave come in to a ECU that is failed it is like a light bulb, it either works or doesn't. My first thought is twoards oxygen sensor, these cars will, by design, run rich if an O2 sensor fails. I believe your car has two O2 sensors?

Way too rich (pollution, horrible gas mileage and shortening the life of the engine by washing down the oil)...
Check carburettion.
Is this carburetted or injected?

running rich fuel press regulator is dead

Rich fuel=black smoke.
Oil burning=blue smoke
Coolant burning=white smoke

DTC - 22 Throttle position sensor error (signal low), is tps connected?
DTC - 23 Intake air temp sensor error (low temp indicated) check and make sure the sensor is connected
DTC - 43 Knock sensor error, ignore this for now, will not cause rich run.
DTC - 53 System voltage too high, check reference voltage from PCM, it should be around 4.5 Volts, this could be the cause of all your problems, the computer will need to replaced almost for sure.
