I have a Toyota Coaster bus running on hino no4c engine. I have recently change the injector pump and clean out the fuel tank. It cranks but takes 3 plus cranks to start up. But when it starts it emits thick white smoke through its exhaust. Also the engine does not have any power when accelerating.
Hello
u will find a lot of wiring diagrams and circuit diagrams help books and stuff like this at reliable-store
the girl in the chat box can help u instantly... im a frequent buyer there since Im a mechanic so take help from there
You did not specify mileage on this engine.... compression may be an issue, also large amounts of white smoke pulls me over to a lack of fuel, lean condition on diesel creates this fenomena, check delivery lines and pressures,

I would talk to who cleaned the injectors, I don't know if it something they did or not. It could be a stuck open injector. The exhaust would have a raw fuel odor if it was. What it sounds like is a blown headgasket, which can just happen. The exhaust would have a sweet smell to it. Usually starts as a small leak (between cyl. 2 & 3), the engine burns the coolant while driving which you don't see. Then the coolant level gradually drops to a point where the car overheats, which warps the head, causing a large leak. Now you see the coolant burning (white smoke).
Good luck Honda Al

Does the engine have a tendency to stop when idling especially when you engage the power steering, brake or engage drive? If so this is classic IAC Idle Air Control valve trouble. The inlet and out let ports within the throttle body wall along with the the IAC could do with a real clean. Simply spray into the port opening some carb cleaner and leave to work for about five minutes. Clean out the gunky mess with a cloth. Wait 15 minutes for the cleaner residue to evaporate and restart your engine, you should notice an immediate difference

you may have a build up of water in the front/rear exhaust box(causing a restriction in the flow of gas.
put a bottle of redexe fuel additive in 5 gallons fuel and take the car for a long, hot drive, preferably motorway speed,at least 30 miles, that should get rid of any blockage.
This issue may be related to the Turbo Unit in your Vehicle.

Burning oil. Usually valve seals and or guides. Seals can be replaced without pulling the head/s. Worn valve guides is a head job.
