I have a stock car stereo in my 2003 Nissan Altima and has worked fine for years. All of a sudden last week there is no sound coming out of the speakers when I start the car in the morning to go to work. The display works just fine, I can change stations but no sound. When I get in my car to go home from work the sound is perfectly fine.

I have the same issues thinking of buying a new amp from ebay and trying it. Any suggestions? Mine has been sporadic for 2 years and now it won't come on at all...

My issue was that the wiring for my rear speaker was loose and shorting out. I wiggled it and the sound came back on.

Why does 2003 Nissan Altima brake and battery light intermittently come on car die like it has dead battery then start and seem fine?

Easy fixes would be to check and clean relays and fuses, check the battery cables, and the grounding cable. Might be the starter solenoid also.

Grounding cable usually goes from the starter to the chassis, or from the engine to the chassis.

The cable might seem okay on top, but can be corroded (if it's copper, it's most likely oxidized through and can't get a contact.)

I have a 2003 Nissan Altima, started sounding rough, has double exhaust in the back very little coming out of one side. was told needed cam sensor replaced. Ran great for about 1 week, started runnin

Could be the power control module. When the control module only sends a spark to one side, that would account for your exhaust on one side. However, the distributor shaft could also be worn on one side.

Hi my 2003 nissan altima radio not working no sound coming from speaker yet all light are on

Is it a standard version or Bose version? If it's a standard version then either the plug in the back came loose or the built in amp in the stereo is dying. if it's a Bose, then there should be a pre-amp some where under or behind the dash or possibly under or behind the rear seat/ trunk. In that scenario it's possible that the amp has gone bad. Another possibility regardless what version system is installed would be if a wire cracked and is showing somehow, grounding out causing the speakers to go out. Bad ground. maybe a loose plug behind the stereo. Also has the stereo every been replaced. Is it factory stereo and speakers.
