The light that illuminates the dashboard clock in my 2007 Mitsubishi Galant stopped working, how do I fix this?

Yes, There is a fuse box ... your owners manual will asssit you in locating it and the suspect fuse ... do your parking lamps work? Is your dimmer turned all the way down?

SOURCE: No dashboard/odometer lights and no rear lights

just go to the fuse box in the engine compartment and look for the (red 1Oamp) tail light fuse... it might be broken just replace and that should solve your problem.

Here's a quick check list for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.


Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles

Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)

Seat covers

Weight on passenger seat

(Example: grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)

I recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.

I DO NOT disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s)

Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce the problem.

hiya mate check the earth lead from the engine to the body make sure they are not broken or corroded

SOURCE: dashboard clock has stopped working, the display

There are 2 fuses linked to the clock; 1 is connected to the radio and the other to the gauges. If the radio and gauges work then the clock is dead, it is a very common issue with these clocks.
