SOURCE: 95 4Runner, hearing a rattling sound underneath,

rattling when doing what? if it rattles when it is running or when it is driving, this will tell you roughly where to look. If rattling while idling, coming from engine or transmission. If you ONLY hear it when you are driving, check you U joint. they can wear out and start to rattle and clunk sometimes, especially when going in and out of gear...reverse to drive etc...

SOURCE: There is a loud noise coming from the rear end

Had something like this with my much loved 6 cylinder Camry. Turned out to be a wheel bearing. You can check by raising the rear wheel off the ground with the jack and if you can move the wheel in and out, you need a wheel bearing. And it is a safety issue - when bad enough the wheel can come off the car, definitely a life changing experience. Check both rear wheels, just take a few minutes of your time. Don't believe the Elantra or any other front wheel drive car has a differential, those are used in rear wheel drive vehicles.

GET IT TO A MECHANIC!! Something is loose or about to collapse! Remember that vibration and noise can travel away from the source so get the mechanic to start in that corner.
You need to get the following checked!
-Prop shaft mountings at transfer box.
-Prop shaft mountings at differential.
-Prop shaft bearings.
-Differential condition and oil level.
-Drive shafts at differential end.
-Drive shafts at the wheel end.
-All flexing joints in the system including UV joints and CV joints.

I have a 1998 Ford F150 4.2 motor V-6 4x4. When I put it in drive it will not go forward. I looked underneath and my drive shaft is really loose how do I fix it. I think that my drive train is broke...

Sounds like your drive shaft may be the issue. If it is not connected to the rear differential, and you put it in drive, the truck won't move, and when you go into park, it grinds due to the fact that the transmission is still turning. It may have a bad u-joint or broken hub. It should be removed to inspect and repair it. remove the nuts at the rear part of the drive shaft yoke. It should slide out of the transmission after that. Note that u-joints need to be pressed in.

Sounds like the rear end differential is going out. I had a similar problem on a customer's truck, and it was the differential in the rearend. Replaced the rearend, and the noise was gone.

I've never seen a differential fail in that situation but having been in the business a long time I've learned that all things are possible...Exactly where is the oil leaking on the diff? I'd suggest you get back onto level ground and remove the rear cover on the diff and take a look at the gears. Possible that the spider gears in the center section have broken.

1999 chevy blazer starts, but makes noise and no acceleration

Smoke coming out from the middle of the two rear tires right? Sound like your rear differential is out of lubricant. Leftover lubricant is probably getting burned by heat from the friction. Have your rear differential lubed up.
