I have a 2003 bmw 325i. The driver window goes down but won’t go up. Replaced the motor, regulator and switch but still no luck. The only option left is to replace the relay which is most likely the issue at this point. After searching online i found out the relay is located behind the glove box, I removed the glove box but now I’m stuck since I don’t know which relay should be replaced. Any help would be appreciated!

It is possible that you have a ground module problem.
They are behind the glove box. There are some.
If I remember correct its number four. This is not a fact.
But you must find out is it four or five and take it out and replace the relay.

hey jack open the back door and look up top where the hinges are and that should be the one for the back and the front if it is not up under the hood where the wipers are then check up under the dash

You have to take the trunk liners off of both sides. There will be 3 13mm nuts on each side for the shocks, and under the car is a 16 or 17mm bolt that has to be removed. I hope this helps.

Your vehicle's fuel pump relay is located on the relay center, behind the glove box, 2nd column of relays, 2nd one from the top.

Step 1 Take everything out of the glove box on the passenger side. Squeeze the black clips on either side of the glove box interior to free it from its retainer and pull it toward you. It will glide forward on hinged arms. Lower it as much as possible so it's out of your way.

Step 2 Identify the gray plastic bar that runs from left to right across the bottom of the glove box opening. This is a piece of plastic molded to the rest of the glove box assembly, but it covers up a removable bar that is mounted directly in front of the cabin air filter

case. You'll have to cut this plastic bar off with a razor knife to proceed. Fortunately, this isn't too difficult; just cut carefully and steadily, and make your cuts as close as possible to the ends of the bar.

Step 3 Remove the metal bar you uncovered in the previous step. It is screwed into the glove box assembly with Phillips head screws on either side.

Step 4 Open the cabin air filter case, which is the large plastic case on the left side off the glove box opening. The hatch will come all the way off when you open it.

Step 5 Take the old air filter out of the case and throw it away.

Step 6 Look at the arrows on the filter and the arrows on the filter case that indicate the direction of the air flow. Slide the new filter into place so that the arrows are both pointing the same way.

Step 7 Put the lid back on the air filter case and reinstall the metal bar you removed in Step 3.

Step 8 Push the glove box interior compartment back into place and listen for the snapping sound. Put the glove box contents back, close the lid and you're done.

POWER WINDOWS NOT WORKING & POWER WINDOW/REGULATOR ISSUES

It can be issue with motor itself. If it's not going up, then how its working down. But still it feels like weak window motor or is issue with power window switch. Get the voltage tested at switch and motor. Also try another working window motor at not working window side.

Thank yo for the schematic Ernesto. It says Nissan 1996, so is the 2008 still using the same schematic?

I have a BMW 325i and i guess my passenger window regulator is broken or the window is just off track but the window is stuck all the way up and there is no way for me to force the window down myself....

I jus noticed the regulator assemby or the black parts that guide the window up and down is stuck. When I roll the window up and down the motor moves and that's bout it. Without it coming down I won't be abl to get the bolt to get the regulator out. This is my fisrt time doing it on my own. Please help. How do I unbolt the motor? Any manual way to put the window down?

check the drivers side switches for one thats shorted out.

The windowswitchs are console mounted and likely to get some soda,coffee,then get sticky trapping dirt,the switch is a real culprit on strange events involving only one part of the system.

Both left windows have problems. Whenever the left driver window goes down, it stays down. When I try to pull the window back up (it won't go up on its own), it won't stay up. It starts coming...

Left front door window sometimes will not go back up! When I use either the left front door, window up/down switch, or the driver side up/down control, for the left front door, I can hear the switch...

USUALLY POWER WINDOW PROBLEMS ARE ONE OF THREE THINGS. 1. SWITCH 2. MOTOR 3. WINDOW REGULATOR. THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM THE LEXUS HAS IS THE MASTER SWITCH IN THE DRIVERS DOOR. IT CAN ALSO AFFECT THE OPERATION OF THE PASSENGER DOOR SWITCH....IF WINDOW REGULATOR IS BAD YOU WILL HEAR SOME CRAZY NOISES COMING OUT OF DOOR PANEL...VERY OBVIOUS.... FOLLOW THIS CLOSELY...STARE AT A LITE DOME LIGHT USUALLY WITH DOOR OPEN...WHEN YOU PRESS WINDOW SWITCH, IF THERE IS ANY DIMING OF DOME LIGHT....MOTOR IS BAD. IF DOME LIGHT STAYS THE SAME BRIGHTNESS... SWITCH IS BAD... 2001 BMW 325i Power Window Won't Go Up

Have you tried spraying the window guides/channels with silicone, the motors are very small that operate the window, it just might be they are sticking from no lube, I have seen this many times in my 30 years as a tech. If this doesn't provide the cure swap the window switchs and see what happens that may be the issue. This is from a post on a BMW owner site:

When I put the switch from the front window in the console for the rear window, I got nothing. When I put it back in the front console socket, I was able to roll the window back up. So, now it looks like I have 1 switch with a faulty down and one with a faulty up. I took the switch out of the console for the rear left window and tried it on the front right window. The window goes up and down! However, I'm still getting nothing when I put it in the console for the rear right window as well, looks like one switch is defective on down, and the other on up, so I replaced both.
