Check your coil wlre at the coil they can rot off inside the boot. Sometimes they can still make intermittant contact.

Did you check to see if there is power to the glow plugs if not then that may be the problem and if there is power when you cycle the key not to start but for the plugs to warm up you may have a bad glow plugs.

Hi Chandler Harrelson, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Are you saying it will crank and run, but sometimes it will not go into drive? will it go into any gear, or can you not get it out of park?
