SOURCE: holden vectra 2.2 head torqure seqence
Removal is no sequence. To Tighten start at the closest one to the center of the head then the one across from it, then the one on the other side nearest the first bolt. Now working in a crisscross pattern work your way outward from the center.

Do you have a manual or automatic transmission in the vehicle?
I assume it is automatic and in that case all you can do yourself is check the level of the automatic transmission fluid if you have the engine bay auto transmission dip stick and filler tube in that model.
I doubt low transmission fluid is the problem though but check it anyway and do it when the fluid is warm/hot.
As it is, you need to get the car to Holden service or to a competent auto transmission specialist to run some tests on the transmission. If it is a 1999 model you no doubt have a high kms vehicle and the auto transmissions on these cars will often not last the life of the car and need to be replaced at some time after 140000 kms or so.
