Where is the oil pressure switch on a 2005 ford 500

non engine told
it just unscrews, my guess you meant can't find it.?
but not telling engine there how can there be any answer

now the words for REMOVE

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Jacking and Lifting.

Remove cooling fan motor and shroud. For additional information, refer to Engine Cooling.

Remove the lower radiator splash shield.

Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to Accessory Drive.

Disconnect the A/C compressor electrical connector and wiring harness retainer.(not hoses ever)

Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and position the A/C compressor aside.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Remove the 6 bolts and position the A/C compressor bracket aside.

To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Disconnect the oil pressure sender electrical connector.

Remove the oil pressure sender.

To install, tighten to 14 Nm (10 lb-ft)

put put back do reverse of OUT
+ teflon pipe tape and
tighten to 10 ft. lbs

Is this one of the 3 lights in the lowest corner of the display? These 3 lights are for the 3 following functions.
-(Top lamp). Speed limiter Light.
-(Bottom left lamp). Trans Axle warning light.
-(Bottom right lamp). Oil Pressure Warning light.
This sounds like it could be the speed limiter. Check for any switches on the dashboard and the steering column for switches with the same logo as the speed limiter light as this can flash to show it is active.
The Trans Axle warning is the systems electronics showing there is a possible issue with the transmission.
The Oil Pressure light shows there is an issue with the oil system such as low oil or low oil pressure in the engine.
You will often find the Trans axle and Oil warning lights usually don't flash.

Yes the switch could be bad but the engine ciould also be low on oil or the oil pump could be going bad. The plan would be to check and top up the oil if necessary. If it still does it then have a mechanical oil pressure guage put in and get an acutual reading. This will tell you if it's the switch or the oil pump.

I'm assuming you have a low oil pressure indicator on the dash. Have you checked the oil level? If it is at correct level, it is possible the oil pressure sender/switch isn't reading the pressure properly. Also it is possible that bearings in the engine are worn out, or that the oil pump isn't working properly. If you don't have a pressure gauge to screw into the engine where the switch is, I would start by replacing the oil pressure switch.

at the best, the oil pressure switch is leaking oil on the exhaust, if not ,there may be trouble, have a shop check the switch.

It should be next to the oil filter.Hope this helps.Good luck.

If you have the hand book that should show you how to reset it.Who ever changed your oil should have reset that for you.On some fords you hold your foot on the gas pedal with the ignition switched on.Keeping it pressed turn of the ignition,And then turn back on with the gas pedal still pressed to the boards.Then leave of gas after 10 seconds,

how much oil press? needs at least 500 to start, also make sure your oils not low and it's 15w40
