With a code reader/scan tool or by disconnecting the battery. But if you didn't fix the cause, it'll come right back.

SOURCE: 2005chevy colorado check engine light on code code

This is an EVAP system code. There is a good chance that you just didn't put your gas cap on tight enough the last time you got gas. Check your gas cap and make sure it clicks at least two times after tightening it. If after doing this and driving for a while, the code doesn't go away, you will need to have further diagnosis done as another component in the evaporative emissions control system could have failed.

SOURCE: 2006 chevy colorado check engine light came on

To many things that can cause the check engine light to come on. It could be as simple as a bad gas cap to a miss fire in your ignition system.
If there is an Auto Zone around your area, they scan for the DTC codes free of charge and when the issue has been addressed. The check engine light will reset if self after 3 consecutive start cycle if there is no oter issues.
Thank you for using fixya and good luck

What is code p2610

"DTC P2610 is set if an internal ECM problem is detected.
1.With ignition OFF, remove both ECM connectors.
2.Wait at least one minute.
3. Replace the connectors making sure to completely seat and lock them.
4.Turn the ignition ON with the engine OFF, and clear the stored codes.Verify the MIL light turns OFF, and stays OFF. If the MIL light does not turn OFF, repeat the clear code command until it the MIL light remains OFF.
5.Turn OFF the ignition and leave it OFF for at least one minute.
6.Turn the ignition back ON with engine OFF and observe that the DTC does not reset.
If the DTC P2610 is still set, repeat Steps 1 through 6 one additional time. If Steps 1 through 6 still do not correct the DTC P2610, verify there is constant battery voltage to ECM Connector C1- terminal 77. (circuit 440 / orange wire) If battery voltage is not present on Connector C1- terminal 77, troubleshoot and repair the circuit."

2004 chevy aveo wouldn't start jumped battery and it started then code p2610 came on

Error p2610 means the clock in the ECM and soaker timer of the EVAP system doesn't syncronize. Usually that is caused by a bad ECM since it's all built-in. Try clearing the code first to see if it happens again.
