These Mopar bellhousing bolts have been a 3/8-16 bolt since the early sixties and the torque spec on dry, grade 8 bolts is 44 ft lbs. Lubricated is around 25 ft lbs. I worked in a local transmission shop for years when I was younger and if we could get a straight shot at the bolts we just used a Snap-On, 3/8 impact gun and would rattle them for 2 to 3 seconds after they bottomed out. We never had one loosen or fall out. If all you have is a long handled 3/8 ratchet and a 2 to 3 ft extension we would just tighten them until you felt that long extension twisting a bit. (More than enough) LOL
