You can purchase a small package of crimp connectors for the electrical connections. If the wires are exposed, you can connect them using this following list of connections.
These are the CAR's wiring (not the radio unit)
Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Gray
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Brown
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Pink
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Size: 4′ x 6′
Car Audio Front Speakers Location: Dash
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green
Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: 6′ x 9′
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: Rear Deck
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue
Look on the owner's instructions for the radio, the wiring diagram should be there. If not you can visit the clarion website with the radio model number to get the color codes for the radio wiring..
Simply crimp each to the correct corresponding wire. You may have a few extra.. the antenna power, or the radio mute.. just cap the ends of these..

1999 Chevrolet Lumina. I am trying to put a new stereo into it. I have connected all wires to new stereo and it switches on but absolutely no sound is coming out of speakers? Help.

This is the stock wiring. Sometimes you need a conversion wiring harness to whatever aftermarket radio you are fitting. Crutchfield does them. The first this to try is bench testing the radio, with power, ground and one speaker, especially if it is not new.

My husband installed a radio now the dash board lights are not working 1993 chevy lumina

One of the wires to the factory radio is common to the dash lights. Perhaps he accidentally connected that wire to the wrong place. Or, perhaps it got shorted during the installation. Check for a burned fuse. If that isn't it, I would take the radio out and relook at the installation instructions for the radio.

Also try the wiring harness from door to frame. Mine had a cracked wire and tapprently this is a common problem and when the bare wire touches metal it doesn't work as well closed versus the door open when trying the windows Hard to work with so be prepared to add in a short joint of extra wire and tape up

1997 Chevy Lumina Starter

Pretty straightforeward job... Attach the harness to the starter (battery disconnected of course) The wires are usually joined and only go on one way (ones with big loops go on big center bolt, little ones go on small bolt. (same for Plug ins if any) If you have the original hardware, just put the starter back where it goes and bolt it in! Re-attach the battery and try the ign switch. Listen for bad noises... if any, check flywheel and instalation.
Good luck!!
