My 2000 vr6 Jetta has weird electrical issue. When I accelerate above 20 or 30kmh the electrical ii n the car goes out completely. The gauges go dark and the needles drop the climatronic goes dark, no seat power nothing. Thr car still has full power and there's no change in the way it drives. When the RpMs drop then everything pops back on... Someone suggested alternator but it puts out 14.5 volts on multimeter and the car still runs when the negative is disconnected from the battery I cleaned the grounds under the battery but the problem persists. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

SOURCE: 1995 Bonneville 3.8 engine. Alternator gauge

Check all of your grounds. The ground to the engine and most likely off of the negative battery cable one should screw into the fender or close to it. Clean them off with a wire brush. If need be replace the negative battery cable. If the problem persists check the charging wire that goes to the alternator and replace that if need be.
Thank you,

SOURCE: I think I have an alternator problem? The charge

Hello
The normal charge of alternator on idling is about 13 to 14 volts. 12 is acceptable but keep in mind it will need attention soon. The needle fluctuates due to the revs of the alternator - there is nothing to worry about. Just look that the charge is always above 12V on idle.

I have a 2000 vw jetta vr6 gls 2.8 and it sounds like it is misfiring but the check engine lights is not on. When I accelerate it sounds like im driving a lawn mower. What could it be?

The check eng light does not always come on when theres an issue. Take it and have it scanned anyway, I bet there is a code stored, Also ask them to check Pending codes. Pending codes are what the computer has noticed a possible concern and is watching That system, Pending codes can be saviours when diagnosing a hard to find issue

From my experience in owning a VW it souns electrical. Most issues with VWs are electrical related. Most likely a realy of some type. Could also be fuel injection but that is electronic too.

After I drive around 30 KM, my 2000 Jetta VR6 's temperature goes up from 90 deg to alarm.

First when it has cooled down, check the water level in the radiator. Then determine it overheats while idling, does the fan turn on?

2000 VW Jetta VR6 My check engine light started flashing. My car was idleing very rough and missing. The parts store checked and the code showed misfire 1. We replaced the spark plugs. It runs a little...

You may have a bad coil pack - try moving two of them around and see if the misfire follows the coil pack or stays at the same cylinder. If it follows the coil pack, get a new one. If it stays in the same cylinder, inspect your spark plug wires and make sure the plug is gapped correctly.
